Target Market Determination

Target Market Determination

From 5th October 2021, most issuers of financial products are required to provide a Target Market Determination (TMD) for their products. This is part of the Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO) under the Commonwealth Corporations Act 2001.

Some superannuation schemes are not covered under the DDO legislation or are exempt and are not required to issue a TMD.  Super SA schemes are exempt public sector super schemes and, as such, are generally not required to comply with the Commonwealth Corporations Act.

Super SA has not issued a TMD at this time and will provide updates on our website of any future changes to this position.

For more information on DDO obligations and exemptions distributors please refer to the relevant legislation.
